This project have been a successful tentative to develop different version of a lawnmower redesigning the stile surface with Unigraphic (NX) in a parametric way in order to adapt all the parts to different blade diameter and fit electric engines, battery and endothermic engines.

  • Brackets
  • Baffles
  • Apliques

  • Micro project management
  • Style feasibility
  • Stile redesign in a parametric Unigraphic method
  • Resident liaison engineer in Customer’s premises
  • Detail design
  • Style verification for manufacturability
  • Packaging definition
  • Typical sections
  • Welding, fixings feasibility and Assembly sequence proposal in agreement with assembly team direction
  • Supplier interaction for part manufacturability and performances

Output:

  • CAS surfaces feasibility studies
  • Final stile surfaces made in Unigraphic
  • BOM
  • 3D data and 2D drawings of parts and assemblies
  • Clash and clearance Analysis (DMU)
  • Modification management

KPI’s:

  • Modularity of all main pars
  • Simple design to reduce mould cost
  • Contracted Process duration (Lawnmower are seasonal products)

MGRD added value and achievement:

  • Target cost and delivery time.
  • Larger modularity than expected
  • Stile modularity maintaining the stile intent for all version
